Unqualified managers. Limited career progression (managers will keep subordinates in the same position). Bad culture and unethical practices by middle managers. No job security.

High stress. Managers lack of knowledge in products, people management skills. They too lack of empathy and steals credits, believe in stepping on others go up career. Salary will be benchmarked not based on talent or contribution but based on average regardless performance.

Personally for me, I wasn’t able to utilise my credibility to its full potential. It was a bumpy ride for me and I did learn a lot from working in Novartis, however I wasn’t given the opportunity to contribute more.
